Tyler Caraway Killed By Round Rock & Austin Police Officers

On Monday night, 24-year-old Tyler Caraway was shot and killed by police officers from Austin and Round Rock, Texas. The FBI was involved in this traffic stop that went wrong, as well, but did not fire their weapons. The Austin Police chief claims that upon being pulled over by law enforcement officers, Caraway jumped out of his car and began firing a gun at the officers. Those officers then returned fire, killing Caraway. A passenger in Caraway's car, Jessica Schoonover, told an Austin TV station reporter that she did not see a gun in his possession. Schoonover's story does not match the one told by the police officers. According to her, Caraway never made it out of the car before he was shot. This police officer involved shooting remains under investigation.
