Stinnett K-9 Police Dog Named Luna Died From Heat Stroke

In a sad story out of the Texas panhandle today, it was learned that a K-9 dog named 'Luna' who worked with officers in the Stinnett Police Department has died allegedly from heat stroke. According to a statement released by the department, 'Luna' was left outside in a kennel for about 36 hours with sufficient food and water. However, when the police officer, who was in charge of the dog, returned Luna was dead. Another, older, dog was in the same location and was doing fine when the officer returned.
