Soldier Virginia Caballero One Of America's Finest

#TexasNewsBlog #TexasNews #TexasBlog

We owe so much to U.S. soldiers and their families – especially during these times of terrorism and murder around the world. This story is not about a member of the U.S. military who died in battle somewhere – but about a young woman who passed away on a flight back to the United States from Kuwait. Friends – family and fellow service members have all told stories about how full of life Staff Sergeant Virginia Caballero was and how her smile could light up any room she entered. Caballero died on September 13th as she was flying back to the United States. It is believed a blood clot broke free inside her body and traveled to her heart. She died instantly. A funeral service for Caballero was held this week at the Abernathy Texas High School – which was packed to capacity. Along the route from the high school to the local cemetery – hundreds of people lined up and held American flags in honor of Caballero. After a grave site service she was honored with a 21-gun salute. Sergeant Virginia Caballero loved the military and the United States of America and we should all be grateful that soldiers like Sergeant Caballero work in places we would never want to go - in order to protect our liberty and way-of-life.
