Omar Gonzalez From Copperas Cove Arrested At The White House

#TexasNewsBlog #TexasNews #TexasBlog

A man from Copperas Cove Texas was arrested Friday night in Washington D.C. after he allegedly jumped a fence and ran toward the building. 42-year-old Omar J. Gonzales was taken into custody by the U.S. Secret Service. After his arrest, Gonzales was transported to a hospital after complaining of chest pain. Neither President Obama or his family were at home when this incursion occurred. It is unknown at this time what reason - if any - Gonzales gave to the Secret Service after his arrest - for climbing over a fence at the White House. It is well known that the White House is one of the most protected buildings in the world. However – ever year a few people decide to jump the fence and they are always quickly arrested. Some parts of the White House complex were briefly evacuated when this incursion occurred. If there is additional important information released about this story over the weekend – this post will be update.
