Baylor Lady Bears Take On Kentucky Today

In just a few hours, the Baylor Lady Bears will take on Kentucky in what they hope will be the next step to another national championship. Under the leadership of coach Kim Mulkey, the Lady Bears have turned what many thought would be a let down year into one where they might be in contention for a national championship title. Last year, most experts believed the Lady Bears would go all the way. However, they lost and most fans like me found it very difficult to wait around for the next season to begin. I'm looking forward to watching the Lady Bears on TV today and cheering loudly as they try to defeat Kentucky and move one step closer to a final four birth.

Wendy Davis' Strength, Getting Texas Women To The Polls?

Choice and equal pay are the two major issues Wendy Davis appears to be focusing on to propel her to victory in November. It must be hard for average Americans to believe that her GOP rival, Greg Abbott, is beating her badly in the polls. Like many other elections around the country - the mainstream media often report stories based more on what they think should happen, instead of keeping a close focus on reality. I think it is possible for Wendy Davis to win, but to do so she will need women voters in Texas to turn out in huge numbers and vote for her. When I think about the folks who are backing Davis, they need to be focused on one thing when it comes to putting her in the Governor's Mansion next year. Find open minded women and get them to the polls in astronomical numbers.

Possible For Baylor Bears Men To Win Final 4 In Dallas?

The other night I watched the Baylor Bears men defeat a higher ranked team with ease. Then a couple of days later, I watched the Baylor Lady Bears rise to victory, as well. Is it even possible that in 2014 both Baylor basketball teams might win national championships? Well, the odds of that happening are huge - but what the heck, it is still possible. Most experts would give the Baylor Lady Bears better chances than the men, but it appears to me that the Baylor men are the ones who seem to be hitting their strand at just the right time. Only time will tell, but right now - the Baylor Bears men seem to be on track to win it all in Dallas in just a couple of weeks.

Tight Security Expected In Dallas During Final 4 Competition

We are only a few weeks away from the 'Final 4' in Dallas. Local law enforcement is already planning on steps to keep hundreds of thousands of basketball fans safe while they are in 'Big D'. With the exception of the 'Super Bowl' a few years ago, college basketball's final 4 games each season is a pretty tough ticket for North Texas to top. Millions of dollars will flow into the DFW area along with the thousands of fans. However, since September 11, 2001 - sadly sporting events are sometimes terrorist targets - because they are high profile. So, law enforcement from the Dallas area, the State of Texas and the U.S. federal government will be in high profile mode during the 2014 'Final 4' games this year.

Jerry Jones Set To Step Aside As Dallas Cowboys Leader?

There are rumors out of Dallas this morning suggesting that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones might soon take a backseat when it comes to leading the team. That said, I would be shocked if Jerry turned over his control to anyone - including his own son. I think most of this Jerry Jones stepping down talk is fan based with the hope that Jerry will listen to what they are saying and move aside. However, I do not believe Jerry Jones cares what the Cowboys' fans think and I base that opinion on years of observation proving that in his own mind.... Jerry Jones always knows what's best for the team.
