Jury Duty Taken Seriously In Waco

One Waco, Texas judge has become angry at the numbers of people who are refusing to show up for jury duty. So he, Ralph Strother, has ordered the sheriffs office in McLennan County to prepare to start showing up at the homes of potential jurors and bring them to the courthouse to serve. Recently, 120 called jurors failed to show up for jury duty on more than one occasion. In fact, when contacted one of the summoned citizens first complained he was ill, but then later said he was not going to show up anyway, so the sheriff might as well come get him. I'm pretty sure that man will be at the top of the list of folks who are picked up first and taken against their will to serve as a juror. Click Judge Strother's image above to read more.
