Please Pray For Pecos River Flooding Victims

#TexasNewsBlog #TexasNews #TexasBlog

It's been a tough week for hundreds of West Texas residents living near the Pecos River. Heavy water flow from the Dark Canyon Draw in New Mexico has caused the Pecos River to swell to record high levels in Texas. Tuesday was a terrible day as waters rushed in. However – Thursday is expected to be even worse as river levels rise again. The population in West Texas has grown in recent years along with higher crude oil prices. However - it is not uncommon to travel for miles down a highway there and see absolutely nothing but cattle grazing and the occasional tumble weed blowing across the road in front of you. While the western part of Texas is not highly populated – the folks who live out there are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. We should all say a prayer for these fine hard working folks and ask God Almighty to give them strength during these difficulties. If you would like to help with a monetary gift – please contact your local Red Cross and ask that your donation be directed to Pecos River flood victims.
