More Deaths In Permian Basin After Oil Boom

#TexasNewsBlog #TexasNews #TexasBlog

Over the years I have noticed that good financial times in Texas are usually related to a healthy oil and gas economy. Right now – thousands of jobs have been created in Texas energy companies – because of higher than normal oil prices. Along with those higher paying jobs - the number of people killed in the industry has increased substantially. It's a fact of life that nothing is ever really ALL GOOD OR ALL BAD and the oil and gas industry is no different. This oil boom cycle has seen more people killed in motor vehicle accidents - instead of while working on a drill rig. This increase in highway fatalities has earned Texas the title of 'the highest number of motor vehicle fatalities in the country.' California has a greater population than Texas – but when it comes to people dying in car accidents – we have surpassed them after this latest boom in energy.
