Tyler (Texas News Blog): 20-year-old Audrey Hettinger is currently listed in critical condition in a Tyler hospital after she and her young child were struck by a car on Old Bullard Road on Saturday evening. Hettinger's child was transferred to a Dallas hospital in unknown condition. Tyler police said alcohol was not a factor in this accident, but they are investigating whether or not the driver was distracted. Audrey Hettinger is an engineering student at UT Tyler. The driver was identified as 40-year-old Angela Minick.
Houston (Texas News Blog): After fighting for her life in a hospital in Spain, Myrta Fariza from Houston lost her battle this weekend. Fartiza put up a valiant fight, but in the end her injuries were just too severe. Myrta Fariza was the 79th victim to die after a speeding Spanish train derailed last week. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation, but safety experts have said that the train was traveling too fast when it derailed.
Dallas (Texas News Blog): Even on the last day of his life, radio personality Kidd Kraddock was doing what he liked best and that was helping raise money for sick kids. At the age of 53, Kraddick died at way too early of an age and that is why his death was such a shock to friends and family last night. Kidd Kraddick quitely used his influence as a nationwide radio personality to draw attention to children with terrible illnesses. Kraddick was a morning fixture on KISS-FM in the Dallas Fort Worth area and almost one hundred other cities around the nation. Kraddick worked for Clear Channel Communications where a spokesperson for the company not only announced his death last night, but also praised his contribution to children around the world.
Dallas (Texas News Blog): Millions of people around the country were shocked to learn Saturday night that syndicated radio host Kidd Kraddock had passed away at a golf event in New Orleans. In Kraddock's short 53-years on this Earth he did some phenomenal work in raising money to help sick children. Both fans and competitors were quick to sing the praises of Kidd Saturday night after learning of his sudden death. I've always heard that only the good die young and in the case of Kidd Kraddock that saying is far too true. May he rest in peace.

Kidd's Facebook page listed information about what happened and asked his millions of fans to please pray for his family and requested privacy at this sad time. Kidd Kraddick has been a fixture in Texas radio since he first started broadcasting back in the early 1980's. Millions of people around the country have listened for Kraddick on almost 100 radio stations every Monday through Friday. This is a sad day for all of them.

Dallas (Texas News Blog): 53-year-old radio broadcaster Kidd Kraddick died tonight. Early speculation suggests that he died from a brain aneurysm. Kidd Kraddick was a fixture in Dallas/Fort Worth radio since the early 1980's. Kraddick's morning radio show was broadcast on over 70 radio stations around the United States. The Kraddick family has asked for privacy as they grieve the loss of Kidd.

Saginaw (Texas News Blog): Six-year-old Alanna Gallagher's body was found not far from her Saginaw Texas home this week. According to police, passersby discovered her body inside of a discarded plastic trash bag. Police have reportedly taken items from the Gallagher family home, including trash bags and duct tape. A spokesman told the public yesterday that this is an isolated incident, so they should not fear for the safety of their own children. Some of the Gallagher's neighbors told reporters that Alanna seemed like a happy child who was always looking for someone to play with. Alanna attended kindergarten at the Willow Creek Elementary School.
