Heavy Snow Falling In Waco, Texas

“Heavy snow falling in Waco, Texas.” I was extremely excited to see snowfall in Waco tonight. Wow, it has been a long time since I have seen snow stick to the ground around here for any long period of time. It seemed like that tonight's snow in Waco was very wet. I usually work in the evening hours, so around 5pm – someone in my office came running in and said that snow was falling hard outside. To begin with, I was not that interested - because I had been outside less than one hour earlier and there was no snow falling then. However, I did eventually wonder to a window and just like Christmas in an old movie - the snow was really coming down in Waco, Texas last night.

One of my coworkers travels to Amarillo, Texas on a regular basis - so she has been witness to some pretty large snowfalls during the 2009/2010 winter season. However, further south here in Waco – it is not common at all to see snow in any measurable amount within the past 10 or 20 years. However, even with government and scientific warnings that Global Warming is going to cause us all to burn to death in the near future – 2009/2010 is turning out to prove to some liberals and left leaning scientist that God has a much better read on what is best for this planet than their weird scientific theory's.

For me, it was just nice to see a nice, good-old-fashion snow in Waco. When I first move to this wonderful city back in 1983, there were several meaningful snow falls each and every year. However, as the 80's morphed into the 90's – there seemed to be less and less snow each and every year. Then came 2009 & 2010 and the old Waco is back with regular cold fronts blowing through and the occasional snow flurry that seems to bring life back to even the most harden negative thinker. Waco, Texas is well known for it's unbearably hot summer weather. In 2009 and 2010, we are also experiencing the best of winter.
